Thank you for this excellent post which resonates with me. I have been living with the chronic illness . (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) for over 15 years. Although I wrote the occasional poem before becoming ill I was never greatly inspired. However in recent years I have become more and more inspired to write poems about how I and others feel. It helps me to express how I feel and at the same time I hope it helps others to feel less alone. I’m not sure how much it crosses over to the healthy. So far I’ve published a few books of my poetry in the hope that it makes a difference.
